FRANKLIN, TN (February 9, 2010) - Big Idea Entertainment, the leading faith-based studio and producer of children’s and family programming, characters and brands, today announced plans to enter into an all-new multi-production deal with animation studio Entrenched, Inc. The two companies have agreed to collaborate on brand new VeggieTales® content, including DVDs. The animation will be completed by Entrenched’s sister-company; Hawaii Animation Studios (HAS), which was co-developed by four industry veterans, Dan Krech, Jeff Bell, Joe Serafini and John Morch. The new agreement with Big Idea Entertainment will leverage Entrenched, Inc. and HAS’ unique ability to provide top-notch digital visual images for feature films, television, and direct-to-video features.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Entrenched at such an exciting time, " said Leslie Ferrell, General Manager for Big Idea Entertainment. “We’re confident a fresh crop of VeggieTales will grow out of Hawaii, and continue to bring the timeless and delightful adventures, lessons and songs to viewers around the world. It’s an honor for us to participate in the official opening and celebration of Hawaii Animation Studios.”
On Thursday, February 11th, Leslie Ferrell and Mike Nawrocki, Vice President of Creative Development, Big Idea Entertainment, will join other notable guests including the Lieutenant Governor of Hawaii, James Aiona, and Senator Will Espero in Honolulu for a special commemorative opening ceremony.
